Distribution-Publications, Inc. also known as DPI, provides a professional service for Ocean Carriers, NVOCCs and Terminal Operators subject to the tariff publication regulations of the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC). This includes :

• Tariff publication in compliance with FMC Regulations.
• Timely confirmation of via telephone, fax, or electronic mail.
• Publication of comprehensive tariff page documents in traditional format.
• Maintenance of tariffs on an Internet accessible database.

DPI offers its expertise in FMC regulatory affairs on a consulting basis. Services include the preparation and filing of the application for a license as an Ocean Transportation Intermediary (OTI) operating as an NVOCC or Ocean Freight Forwarder. DPI also prepares and files Service Contracts, Special Permission and Special Docket Applications. DPI's staff includes licensed FMC Practitioners.

All tariffs published by DPI are available as Adobe® PDF files. The PDF tariffs provide a complete copy of the tariffs in page document format as of the PDF issue date. All of the benefits of the traditional tariff page format are provided, plus the PDF tariffs provide a unique system of bookmarks and indices that allow for quick access to tariff rules and commodity rates. Full text search of an entire tariff is suppported. Adobe's technology provides superb print quality and printer compatibility. The Adobe® Acrobat Reader is compatible with a wide range of operating systems, and runs efficiently within a web browser. Updated PDF tariff files are available from DPI on CD-ROM disks or via download from our web site.

Tariff Research

DPI's researchers provide information on tariffs and other documents filed with the FMC, including agreements between ocean carriers or terminal operators. DPI can confirm the status of an ocean freight forwarder or NVOCC to determine if it holds an OTI license. Other information available through DPI includes complete copies of FMC Dockets, Notices, Orders and Regulations.

Data Management

DPI operates an open system based capable of interfacing with a broad range of databases. In addition to Internet web browser access and PDF tariffs, tariff rate data is available MS-Excel worksheets. By special arrangement, tariffs can also be provided in the "ATFI" data format that was utilized by the Federal Maritime Commission from 1993 thru April 30, 1999.
